A chess player went to buy a chess book from a shop. He picked it up, went to the counter and asked, "Excuse me, how much does the book cost?" The lady at the counter replied, "This one is $150." The chess player left the book carefully on the counter, said "J'adoube" and quickly went out of the shop.

Just as a house begins with a foundation, a chess game begins to be built in the opening. The opening is the basis on which the whole chess building leans. A well played opening is a precondition for success in the middle game. By the same token, mistakes in the opening can lead to a very difficult game.

Hello Knights,

I am happy to announce that we now have four color themes to choose from:

Helius (a light-colored theme and the site default theme).

BlueEnergy (My personal favorite:  a dark blue and green color theme).

AOG_Meteor (Black and Gray, with a hint of blue).

XHalo (Another black and gray theme, the colors are inspired by the popular game of the same name).

I will probably add another light colored theme when I find an appropriate one.  This should give us a nice selection.

Enjoy  :-)

--Nelson
